I began sculpting in a classical,
figurative way, but over time, that manner of expression felt too constrained.
Gradually my focus shifted from the figure, to the essence.
I focused on portraying the “soul”, rather than the surface, of my models.
The early works, produced during those initial years, were steps toward a deeper
looking, at my art and in myself.
After this “bronze age” I turned toward stone, and haven’t looked back. |
